Atomic Energy Act of 1946
Закон об использовании атомной энергии 1946 года
Принят 1 августа 1946. Предусматривал монополию государства на всю деятельность, связанную как с военным, так и с мирным использованием атомной энергии. Учреждал Комиссию по атомной энергии [Atomic Energy Commission]. Отражал взгляды Г. Трумэна [Truman, Harry S.], осознававшего необходимость жесткого контроля за данной сферой. Внесен по инициативе сенатора Б. Макмаона [McMahon, Brien]. Известен также как закон Макмаона [McMahon Act].
